"LGBT adolescents in pediatrics"

Her talk is on her current research study regarding how well adolescent health care providers "screen" for sexual orientation and gender identity, and how well they know the unique health risks affecting sexual minorities.

Dr. Christine Tompkins is a general academic pediatric fellow, and practicing pediatrician at the outpatient clinic at Hasbro Children's Hospital. She received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska, and did her residency training at the University of Connecticut. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Public Health at Brown.
Out for Lunch is a midday brown-bag discussion series at the LGBTQ Resource Center, providing a safe space for discussion and learning, about matters that concern all aspects of LGBTQA life.

Campaign School 2007 for Healthcare Professionals

Find out about "how to effect change by running for elective office or actively supporting those who do" this saturday Oct. 27th during a free (for students) daylong program hosted by the Rhode Island Medical Society. The daylong event includes such sessions as "message and media: finding your voice and knowing who hears it," or "state of the state of health care: a legislative roundtable," and the keynote speaker is Senator Sheldon Whitehouse.
